The AAM Group’s Membership Meeting and Vendor Showcase, scheduled for May 14–16 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, will bring together distribution members, supplier partners and jobbers for three days of networking, purchasing, education and prospecting.
Two guest speakers are slated to address attendees, including SEMA President and CEO Mike Spagnola.
A leader with hands-on business management experience in retail, distribution and manufacturing, Spagnola has spent more than 40 years in the specialty auto parts arena. He joined SEMA in 2013 as vice president of OEM and product development programs, which included SEMA Garage.
He is passionate about giving back to the community, having created the SEMA Cares Pinewood Drags and actively advocating to bring the next generation of students into the industry, according to an announcement highlighting the talk.
Spagnola served two terms on the SEMA board of directors, chaired the scholarship committee and was named the association’s Person of the Year in 2010. He is an avid racer and enjoys collecting and restoring cars.
