Rubicon Express has released its 2-inch lift kit for the 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler. The system capitalizes on the JL’s improved ride quality and off-road performance for both four-door and two-door Wranglers, according to the company.
Rubicon Express’ goal was to retain the finely tuned factory springs and dampers, while creating enough room to run up to 35-inch tires on Sport and Sahara trims, and up to a 37-inch tires on Rubicon models. The economic kit consists of durable steel coil spacers, shock extensions, sway bar drop brackets, and bump stop extensions.
No driveline or exhaust modifications are required with this kit, according to Rubicon Express. The coil spacers use index pins to locate the factory spring isolators for precise spring alignment and no concerns about noise or vibration. The bump stop extensions ensure rubbing is not an issue with larger tires, and the sway bar drop brackets are engineered to maintain factory suspension geometry.
