Ruben Terrazas Wins TMI TRIM Road Tour Competition at C10 Nationals

Terrazas is the second of five winners who will compete for the 2025 TRIM Road Tour championship…

TMI Products, designer and manufacturer of custom automotive interiors, has announced that Ruben Terrazas’ 1968 Chevy C10 was chosen as the second stop winner of the TMI TRIM Road Tour at the C10 Nationals held May 9-10. The TRIM Road Tour is a multi-stop competition that spotlights the best TMI-equipped vehicles from across the nation, leading up to the TMI Products’ TRIM Awards at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ruben’s C10 featured a full TMI interior with the VXR insert pattern carried throughout the build—a detail that caught the eye of C10 Nationals TRIM judge, Chris Baker. “We all really liked the interior, as it had some design elements that we’ve never seen in a TMI Interior,” Baker commented, “(It) had two different browns, plus a micro-suede for the VXR insert with black grommets.”

Baker noted that the coolest thing in Terrazas’ C10 build was the unique locations of the insert patterns throughout the interior, including matching VXR inserts that were used as custom floor mats, and a one-off custom headliner that had the same inserts in it, too.

Terrazas’ C10 build has rear 405/25-ZR24 Pirelli tires on Specialty Forged Sport Series SS104 wheels, mated to a custom 4-link suspension, and a custom tube frame chassis. The hardware under the hood includes a 1,200-hp twin-turbo 427 LSX topped with a Frankenstein billet intake manifold that exits through a Borla exhaust system. An AccuAir air-ride system with e-Level controller sets the stance, and keeps it planted when the boost hits.

Custom airbrushed wood panels in the bed complement the custom charcoal paint, all of which tie into the TMI interior touches. “When the sun came out, you could see the charcoal paint really pop with a warm metallic undertone that matched the interior color scheme. Plus, the custom-painted wood bed strips also really popped in the sun, and it all really tied in with the interior color scheme,” noted Baker.

A Total of Five 2025 TRIM Road Tour Winners Will Compete for a Trip to the SEMA Show

Terrazas is the second TMI Products’ TRIM Award winner of 2025, joining Jim McKay, who was selected at the 75th Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, in February. These two 2025 TRIM Road Tour winners will join three more and compete for the 2025 TRIM Road Tour championship. That winner will earn a trip to the SEMA Show (November 4-7, 2025) and will earn a Top 20 finalist spot at the TMI Products’ Trim Awards event, a pass to the SEMA Show, a feature parking spot at the SEMA Show, and a five-night hotel stay during the event.
