RSI SmartCap Leaves SEMA Show with Multiple Awards
RSI International (RSI), a South African manufacturer of truck accessories, made quite an impression on the aftermarket industry at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas earlier this month when its SmartCap EVO took home several awards.
As a part of their North American launch, RSI was a first-year exhibitor at the SEMA Show and a first-year participant in the SEMA New Product Showcase and awards competition. Debuting their new SmartCap EVO, a stainless steel 5-piece modular truck cap system, RSI took home the 2020 SEMA Award for Best New Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility Product. Additionally, they were runner-up for the Best New Exterior Accessory Product and were awarded 9 Global Media Awards—the most of any participant in the show. According to SEMA, more than 3,000 products were entered into the New Product Showcase.

Chosen by a panel of international journalists, these awards recognize the product’s consumer appeal in each of their home countries. The RSI SmartCap EVO, SmartKitchen, and SmartRack received awards from Australia (4), Canada, China (2), New Zealand, and Peru.
