ROUSH Performance is kicking off the year by hosting a Past & Future Exclusive iRacing event, the company announced. The first race was held at Rockingham Raceway on Jan. 12, the same track ROUSH earned its first-ever NASCAR win in 1989. Drivers piloted 1987 NASCAR Ford Thunderbird and Chevrolet Monte Carlo Cup cars using the iRacing simulation platform and raced 75 laps at Rockingham.
On Jan. 19, the second race will take place at Michigan International Speedway and will feature the brand-new NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen cars on the fast two-mile track.
Each race will be rewarding a $100 iRacing Gift Card to the first-place finisher.
