RealTruck Reports Fraudulent Websites Impersonating Its Brands

Multi-brand truck accessories company RealTruck has sent a letter to its customers, retail partners and dealer networks, informing them that multiple fraudulent websites are currently impersonating its brands. The sites are unlawfully using RealTruck’s copyrighted materials, trademarks and branded assets, according to company officials, while engaging in phishing tactics and misusing affiliate programs such as Amazon to mislead RealTruck customers.
The company states that it takes the issue very seriously and is actively working to protect its brands and partners.
“RealTruck is committed to protecting not only our brands and legacy products, but our trusted retail partners and dealer network from fraudulent websites misusing affiliate programs to misguide consumers,” says Travis Shirley, SVP of sales – protection accessories at RealTruck. “These sites are unlawfully using RealTruck’s copyrighted materials, trademarks and branded assets. We want to make sure customers are aware of the situation, and if they are ever unsure, to reach out to our customer support team, who can help verify the sites.”
In the customer letter, RealTruck made the following statements:
- The websites are not affiliated with RealTruck in any way.
- RealTruck will never redirect a consumer to Amazon or favor one retailer over another.
- If, while searching online, customers receive suspicious links or communications claiming to be from RealTruck, the company encourages reporting them to RTcommunications@realtruck.com.
