RealTruck Acquires LEER Group
The deal with JB Poindexter & Co. brings LEER Group & several affiliated brands under RealTruck's ownership, with no immediate changes to dealer operations…
LEER and business assets have been acquired by RealTruck Inc. The transaction also includes SnugTop, Century, Pace Edwards by LEER, and StateWide Windows.
LEER Group, including its family of brands, has built a strong reputation in the truck accessories industry, but the company has come under financial duress due to rising manufacturing costs and operational challenges, company officials stated in a press release. Through this transaction, RealTruck says that it will protect the future of the LEER Group’s business with targeted investments and operational improvements to ensure it continues serving its loyal consumer and dealer base.
“This transaction assures LEER Group will be able to improve operational performance and deliver a better experience for consumers, dealers, partners and associates,” said Carl-Martin Lindahl, CEO of RealTruck. “LEER Group brings a strong legacy, and we see a clear opportunity to build on that legacy and drive its future growth, including investments in operations and service to better support the consumer and dealer network.”
Currently, there are no immediate changes planned for day-to-day operations, dealer relationships or product availability. LEER Group’s expansive product lineup will be maintained and refined, and each company’s shared commitment to building products in the U.S. will continue, noted the release.
“This is the ideal outcome to grow LEER Group’s business, preserve jobs and continue our commitment to American manufacturing,” said Alan Farash, president, LEER Group. “We will work closely with RealTruck’s leadership team to ensure a smooth transition and support their desire to build upon LEER’s proud history.”
