Quarter Mile Foundation Drawing Offers Day with Danny Thompson

The Quarter Mile Foundation is offering a day with Danny Thompson as part of its “Bench Racing Between Generations” series for participants aged 13 to 25, the organization announced.

Three winners of the drawing will get to spend a day with Thompson at his Colorado facility. Activities include:

  • A filmed interview with Thompson
  • A tour of Thompson’s garage
  • Lunch with Thompson
  • A photo opportunity
  • DVD keepsake of the day – The winner’s DVD “Day with Danny” will be mailed following post-production of the event
  • Two-night stay at the Ridgeway Lodge in Ridgeway, CO

Thompson, the son of Mickey Thompson, is an accomplished multi-discipline racer, having competed in motocross, Formula Atlantics, Supervees, CRA Sprint Cars and more. Thompson also previously held the land speed record for piston-powered, wheel-driven cars at the Bonneville Salt Flats with an average speed of 448.757 mph.

Proceeds of this event will benefit the Quarter Mile Foundation.
