PureForge Names Grant Hanson Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate Growth

Brake technology company adds a veteran revenue leader as it expands from law enforcement fleets into commercial fleet & OEM markets…

PureForge, the technology-driven manufacturer of ultra-durable brake systems, announced the appointment of Grant Hanson as chief revenue officer. Hanson brings three decades of experience building revenue at companies that created their categories through disruptive innovation. His track record aligns directly with PureForge’s trajectory in reshaping what is possible in braking performance and ROI, company officials said in a press release.

Hanson has turned growth-stage, founder-led companies into real revenue generators and led major accounts and sales organizations at large public companies. He helped grow Jawbone into a multibillion-dollar company, creating the Bluetooth audio and fitness wearable categories before either existed; took Yurbuds to the top of the fitness-audio market through its acquisition by Harman International; and previously managed Motorola’s largest customers as the company came to dominate the early innings of the wireless industry, according to the release.

Across his career, he’s built global sales teams and distribution in nearly 60 countries, spanning robotics, premium audio, wireless power and SaaS. Most recently, through his own consulting practice, he developed proprietary tools and processes to help organizations transition from legacy sales teams to human-centric revenue-architecture teams that multiply seller productivity.

“Grant has built revenue engines inside some of the most transformative product categories of the last 30 years, from early wireless at Motorola to Bluetooth audio and fitness wearables at Jawbone,” said company founder Nathan K. Meckel, president and chief technology officer. “He knows how to translate breakthrough technology into commercial momentum.”

Leading the Next Stage of PureForge’s Global Growth

PureForge said Hanson joins the company at a pivotal moment as it rapidly expands its customer base of law enforcement and public safety fleets. PureForge’s Atomic-Forged technology transforms the rotor surface itself at the micron level without adding a separate coating. This is a fundamentally different approach to high-performance rotors, protected by 47 issued patents and backed by a 3-year, 100,000-mile warranty, the company said.

Beyond expanding from serving law enforcement fleets to commercial fleets, Hanson is also charged with opening a new OEM revenue stream, led by PureForge’s clean stopping power. TÜV NORD Germany testing in May 2026 confirmed that PureForge’s Atomic-Forged brakes generate less than half the Euro 7 non-exhaust emission limit, giving OEMs a clear compliance path ahead of Europe’s November 2026 deadline, the company said.

“PureForge has done the hard part, building a genuinely differentiated technology with real proof points across 120 public safety agencies and 15 million miles of service,” said Hanson. “My job is to make sure every fleet manager, procurement officer and OEM engineering team that could benefit from this technology knows it exists and has a clear path to adopting it. We are currently building our global go-to-market strategy and partnering with distributors around the world. Our initial focus is on Europe to capitalize on the Euro 7 brake dust emissions standards that will improve our environment and the air we breathe, reducing brake particulate matter by up to 80% versus conventional brake systems.”

Joining an Expanding Leadership Team

Hanson joins an expanding PureForge leadership team led by Ronald Garriques, chief executive officer, and Meckel. Garriques has extensive executive experience, having worked in the consumer electronics and mobile technology business for nearly 30 years. Meckel is the inventor of the tribological technology behind PureForge’s Atomic-Forged technology, and a visionary technologist who still leads the company’s R&D, the company said.
