Tier-1 supplier and advanced concept vehicle and prototype company Prefix Corp. has announced an expanded customer support program for this year’s Trans Am Series season.

“After a tremendous 2018 season that included our engines powering two of the top three finishers in TA2, including winning the championship, Prefix is thrilled to expand our trackside support program for the 2019 season,” said Rick Talbot, Prefix’s performance operations manager.

According to Prefix, the company will have a technical support trailer at all TA2 national events this year.

“Our technical trailer will provide a new level of service for our customers,” Talbot said. “The vehicle will house parts, tools, components and complete engines to keep our customers competitive on the track.”

Trans Am officials said they are excited to have Prefix on-board as not only a race engine supplier, but also for its trackside engine support.

“Prefix clearly exhibited a commitment towards supporting teams in the series last season, and we’re thrilled that they’ll be taking their technical support to the next level in 2019,” said John Clagett, president of the Trans Am Series.

Along with engine building and support, Prefix is a highly regarded creator of prototypes, concept vehicles and design mock-ups. Celebrating 40 years in business, it continues to produce some of the most technologically advanced and high-profile concept vehicle builds in the industry, is helping to develop the latest innovations in electric and autonomous vehicles, and is even involved with movie props and theme park attractions for clients around the globe.

“Trans Am represents a great opportunity for us to promote the Prefix brand. Due to the confidential nature of the prototype work we are involved with, many performance enthusiasts aren’t yet familiar with who we are, or what we do,” noted Eric Zeile, Prefix president. “The Trans Am series is one part of an aggressive marketing effort to change that.”

Prefix has also announced current technical partnership agreements with LIQUI MOLY and Berryman Products.
