Petersen Museum to Attempt Record-Setting Porsche Boxster Gathering

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Porsche Boxster, the Petersen Automotive Museum will host a 30 Years of Boxster Cruise-In this Sunday, July 9, in an attempt to set a record for the largest U.S. gathering of Porsche Boxsters, museum officials announced.

While no prior record exists, the museum aims to host more than 200 of the iconic sports cars at the special gathering, the museum said.

Scheduled for July 9, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. PST, the Cruise-In is open to spectators and Boxster owners who want to showcase their vehicles in the record-setting attempt. Cruise-In-only and spectator tickets are available on the Petersen website.

The museum will tally the total number of Boxsters on display at the cruise-in for the record submission, the museum said.

Additionally, the museum is currently hosting the We Are Porsche exhibit, which is presented by Porsche Cars North America and celebrates 75 years of the marque.
