The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Receives Record-Setting Donations in 2025 & Celebrates 75 Years in 2026
The event has reached a total of $45 million in charitable donations & hopes to hit $50 million by its 75th celebration next year…
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance raised a record-setting $4 million in charitable donations this year, and that money is being put to work to better the health and education of children throughout the region, event organizers stated in a press release. Concours donations were distributed to many of the event’s primary charities at a celebratory luncheon held Nov. 18, 2025, at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
“The Pebble Beach Concours was founded by enthusiasts who wanted to gather together to celebrate cars, and that’s still the focus of the event on Concours Sunday,” noted Concours Chairman Sandra Button. “But from the start, the event has also had another purpose—that of raising donations for worthy charitable efforts. We are fortunate that celebrating something we love can also serve to benefit many people.”
Since it began in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours has raised over $45 million for charity, and Button hopes to bring that total to $50 million by the time the 75th Pebble Beach Concours takes place in August of 2026. To accomplish that goal, the Concours must raise a new annual record sum of $5 million in donations, noted the release.

A Community Effort That Supports Multiple Charities
“Our gratitude goes out to a host of participants and partners,” said Pebble Beach Company CEO David Stivers. “The Concours is truly a community effort; its success and generosity is made possible only through the contributions of everyone who is involved in this event.”
Through the Concours’ primary charitable partner, Pebble Beach Company Foundation, Concours donations go to more than 100 of the region’s nonprofits, with a special emphasis on those serving children and improving their health and education. Additionally, the Concours’ annual charity drawing—bolstered this year by generous gifts from Mercedes-Benz, INFINITI, and Lincoln—directly benefits several charities, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Montage Health Foundation, MY Museum, Natividad Foundation, Salinas Valley Health Foundation, Seneca Family of Agencies, and United Way Monterey County.
The Concours and the Foundation also support several educational programs that encourage the next generation of automotive enthusiasts while celebrating the memory of inspirational automotive leaders such as Phil Hill, Jules “J.” & Sally Heumann, John Lamm and Don Williams.
75th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2026 Will Pay Tribute to Its Roots in Racing
Amidst its 75th celebration, the 2026 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will pay tribute to its historic roots in racing. The first Pebble Beach Road Race took place on Nov. 5, 1950, and the first Pebble Beach Concours was held in tandem with it. Concours cars were shown and judged in a field near The Lodge at Pebble Beach, then paraded down the start-finish straight of the racecourse.
“In truth, the Pebble Beach Concours owes everything to that race,” said Button. “The race was clearly the main event, drawing crowds from far and wide. The concours was secondary—a last-minute addition to serve as a social gathering and add a bit of style.”
The Pebble Beach Road Race was the brainchild of Sterling Edwards, who hoped to come out on top with his new Edwards R-26 Special Sport Roadster. Instead, the first Pebble Beach Cup went to a young Phil Hill in a Jaguar XK120. Hill went on to become America’s first World Drivers’ Champion. Edwards took home a different award—Best of Show at the first Pebble Beach Concours.
75th Celebration Will Feature Iconic Drivers & Cars
Many top racers and constructors took part in these races, including Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, Richie Ginther, Bill Pollack and Phil Remington, along with celebrities such as Jackie Cooper.
The 75th celebration of the Pebble Beach Concours will feature a gathering of Pebble Beach Road Racing greats curated by Concours selection committee member Ken Gross and Del Monte Trophy Race Group steward Rob Manson, who plan to pair top models from manufacturers with iconic one-off specials, event officials said.
The 75th Pebble Beach Concours will take place at The Lodge at Pebble Beach on Aug. 16, 2026, and will also include a special gathering that pays tribute to iconic groups of cars that were first brought together at the Concours.
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is also partnering with the Pebble Beach Concours to showcase Pebble Beach Road Race cars at Laguna Seca, and a comprehensive history of the Pebble Beach Road Races will be published later this year.
