Partnership Bolsters Bestop’s MAP Enforcement

Bestop Premium Accessories Group (BPAG) has finalized an agreement with Bridge Below to help strengthen its Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) policies. Bridge Below is a web-based platform for automotive manufacturers that specializes in a breadth of capabilities, including MAP management and enforcement, retailer research and identification, daily violation monitoring, daily distribution of violation notification letters, and retail portal monitoring that includes eBay, Walmart, Amazon and other online retailers.

“It was important for us to find a partner that has a thorough understanding of the automotive aftermarket space,” said Bill Gibson, vice president of sales at BPAG. “Bridge Below was built by car people who understand computers and the retail aftermarket. Daily visibility of the retail marketplace is a must. Bridge Below will help us establish an effective, efficient system to control MAP and protect our premium brands and valued distribution partners.”

The agreement with Bridge Below takes effect immediately and reflects a larger BPAG initiative and commitment to strengthen the premium position of its brands.

“Bestop and BPAG are fortunate to have so many long-standing partnerships, from warehouse distributors to jobbers,” Gibson added. “Our partners have stressed that we focus on two critical business elements. First, a level playing field where MAP is aggressively and uniformly enforced. Second, they need help telling our brands’ product stories, with marketing, education, promotions, and more. We’re hearing them loud and clear-and carrying through on our promises.”
