New Sports Car Development Series to Launch in 2023

New Sports Car Development Series to Launch in 2023 | THE SHOPThe Masterclass of Racing (MCoR), a new sports car development series, will launch later this year, the series announced.

The series will feature homologated factory cars including but not limited to: GT3, GT4, TCR, LMP3, TCA, and NP01. Events will include a 50-minute sprint race and 4-hour short format endurance racing.

“It is the expectation that MCoR drivers will be those on their way up the racing ladder to the pro levels but not quite ready to make that jump. The MCoR paddock will also welcome those teams already running in the various North American pro series to be a cost-effective series for development work and customer racing programs. Careful team and driver vetting will be done before final issue of racing license. We are our own sanctioning body so our schedule is not dependent on other orgs and is always under our discretion and control.

MCoR has already secured 2023 dates at venues like Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Utah Motorsport Campus, Barber Motorsports Park, and several other racing facilities.
