New Social Media App Drives Auto Enthusiasts Together
A mobile app called PEDAL was recently created for the auto enthusiast community. The social networking app encourages users to share their love for cars, according to the apps developer CARS! CARS! Inc.
Through the app, users can share pictures, videos and share those assets to other social media platforms. Photos can be altered with filters and users can customize their own profile page to engage with other followers.
“We are very excited to officially announce the recent launch of our new, free automotive enthusiast app, PEDAL,” said Erik Lunseth, co-founder and CEO of the app. “PEDAL is a social media platform specifically for a unique culture and community. We’re built in the spirit of other platforms but allow our users to experience and share the fervor through an auto enthusiast’s lens.”
PEDAL provides users the ability to add links to any post to provide additional information or content.
CARS! CARS! Inc. was co-founded by Lunseth and Caroline Connor. ClearSummit executives Shane Zilinskas, CEO, and Kara McGehee, COO, oversaw the app’s architecture, according to the company.
“PEDAL is custom built from the ground up,” Zillinskas said. “We architected both the front-end and the back-end specifically for PEDAL’s feature set. It is also powered by React Native, which lets us iterate quickly, and deploy new features to our users seamlessly.”
PEDAL is now available as a free download in the Apple app store and on Google Play. Keyword search: Pedal – Passion for What Moves You.
