Motor State Distributing, a distributor of motorsports safety products, hosted its second annual Safety Summit on Saturday, March 7. With record attendance and manufacturer participation, the event brought together racers, builders, manufacturers and industry experts for an informative and engaging day of seminars, demonstrations and product presentations, company officials stated in a press release.
The 2026 Motor State Distributing Safety Summit, presented by K1 RaceGear, saw a 50% increase in the number of participating manufacturers on hand compared to 2025, providing attendees direct access to representatives for racing’s top safety products. Total attendance was nearly double that of the 2025 Safety Summit, with twice as many attendees registering in advance, and a noticeable increase in walk-in attendees as word spread through the regional racing community, noted the release.
Racing’s Top Safety Brands & Experts Converge at Motor State’s 2026 Summit
With a focus on motorsports safety that goes beyond the driver, the Safety Summit included presentations and product information equally relevant to an audience of engine and chassis builders, track owners, promoters, track workers and more. From the importance of properly maintained driver’s gear and minimizing liability and risk for track owners to how to be prepared for the unthinkable, industry experts shared informative and sometimes emotional testimony, often based on personal experience.

This depth was also well represented by the attending manufacturers, with leading apparel and gear brands including presenting sponsor K1 RaceGear, Allstar Performance, Bell, Crow Safety Gear, Hans, MPI, OMP, RaceQuip, Simpson, Sparco, Stilo, and Zamp. Butlerbuilt and UltraShield were on hand to provide guidance on seat selection and fitment, Safecraft showcased fire suppression equipment, and TCI demonstrated that proper safety equipment may not always be obvious, such as SFI-rated flexplates and flywheels. In addition, representatives of the NHRA and IHRA were present to complete chassis certifications.
Motor State Distributing says that it is pleased to continue its focus on motorsports safety through innovation and education, working closely with manufacturers and industry experts to create awareness and encourage best practices at all levels of the racing community.
