MOMO & WELD Brands Combine Under Single Entity
A new corporate entity called MW Co. has launched in an effort to combine the MOMO and WELD Racing brands.
In 2017, Cisneros Corp., which owned the MOMO brand, purchased WELD Racing and all of its brands to combine them into what MW Co. is today. MW Company, which will stand as an independent organization, will be headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, and will be led by Henrique Cisneros, who was named chairman of the board. Cisneros was integral in bringing the MOMO and WELD companies together.
The formation of MW Co. establishes one of the largest portfolios of performance and motorsports brands within the industry, according to the company. The portfolio includes MOMO, WELD Racing, ADV.1, Driven Motorsports, CCW Forged Performance, Reds, Forgestar, HiPer Technology and Tikore.
“Each of these brands has a strong history and carries a strong passion for driving and racing – and this will not change,” Cisneros said. “Bringing them together under the MW Co. umbrella will only make them stronger. Our mission is to fuel the world’s passion for driving, and the launch of MW Company enables us to do exactly that, by increasing the global reach of these brands and providing our customers with more product options than ever before.”
MW Company’s product portfolio includes wheels, tires, steering wheels, shift knobs, helmets, gloves, shoes and racing apparel. The company will continue to operate facilities in Anaheim, California, Kansas City, and Milan, Italy.
MW Co. will be in booths No. 20635, No. 46063 and No. 35087 at the SEMA Show.
