Automotive tools supplier Mohawk Lifts has signed a contract to supply vehicle lifts to West Virginia government agencies West Virginia Purchasing Division and West Virginia Economic Development, working with steel producer and metal recycler Steel of West Virginia.
The new contract provides state, local, school and other public agencies across West Virginia access to American-made vehicle lifts and garage equipment at preferred pricing and terms, according to the company. By sourcing high-quality steel from Steel of West Virginia, the contract supports local manufacturing, sustaining jobs in the Huntington area.
“We are grateful to the West Virginia Purchasing Division, Economic Development and Steel of West Virginia teams for their role in making this contract a reality,” said Steve Perlstein, Mohawk president. “This initiative represents a win for the state of West Virginia, the Huntington community and each public agency that may benefit from our products. Mohawk is committed to supporting American manufacturing, and we’re proud to contribute to West Virginia’s economic growth.”
Benefits to the agreement include strengthening the state’s manufacturing ecosystem and building lasting, mutually successful partnerships, the company added.
