Mike Valentine Passes Away

According to a new report from Motor 1, Mike Valentine, founder of Valentine 1, has died at the age of 74. The Ohio businessman had helped to start Escort and the Valentine 1 brands and received numerous awards for his electrical engineering work.
Throughout its life, the Valentine 1 radar detector, went through eight different developments before the introduction of the Valentine 1 Gen 2 in 2020. Valentine continually developed his radar detector systems, with the addition of an arrow system in recent years, to help notify drivers the direction of incoming signals. Valentine also developed his systems to keep up with the methods used by law enforcement around the country.
