Automotive specialty products marketing and distribution company Meyer Distributing Inc. has added a cross-dock in Savannah, Georgia.
The cross-dock will have a direct feed from Meyer’s Orlando, Florida, distribution hub, officials stated, which houses a large inventory of automotive, 4×4/off-road and RV parts and accessories.
“Meyer has expanded inventories significantly in RV, towing and marine parts in Orlando,” said Ben Johnson, Meyer’s RV, towing and marine sales manager. “Having larger inventories available next-day now throughout the Southeast has been very well received by our customers. Whether it’s hitches, A/Cs, sanitation supplies, furniture, electronics, audio, etc., Meyer has it for your RV or boat.”
The dock will significantly improve deliveries to coastal Georgia, added Jeff Braun, Meyer CEO.
“The Carolina and Georgia coasts have long been underserviced markets by Meyer, but with the addition of Savannah; Columbia, South Carolina; and Goldsboro, North Carolina, cross-docks, we’re now well positioned to provide top-notch delivery service and frequency to the customer base,” said Braun. “Meyer continues to invest organically and via acquisitions to bring the best brands to market for our customers.”
Wholesale-only distribution companies interested in entertaining an offer should reach out to the company at acquisitions@meyerdistributing.com, he added.
