Headlining Mecum Glendale is a duo of Shelby Cobras, a model line well known for its track-dominating reputation. The pair includes a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster and a 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster. Adding to the muscle lineup is an award-winning supercharged 1968 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback with a unique panoramic roof and just 200 miles since its completion. Bonneville Land Speed Racers on the Block

Other eye-catchers heading for the auction stage include a pair of Vesco vehicles that raced across the Bonneville Salt Flats. The first is the 1975 Don Vesco Silver Bird / Lightning Bolt Land Speed Motorcycle, which was piloted by Don Vesco to become the first motorcycle to break the 300 mph barrier. Alongside it is the 2013 Vesco Racing Turbinator II Streamliner, the first and only wheel-driven car to exceed the 500 mph barrier, built by Rick Vesco and driven by Dave Spangler.
