McLaren Automotive Reveals Bespoke 750S Custom Inspired by Las Vegas

One-off “Project Viva” by MSO celebrates a shared spirit of innovation, ambition & performance…

Ahead of the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix on Nov. 22, McLaren Automotive has revealed “Project Viva,” a one-off 750S designed and created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the brand’s bespoke division responsible for personalization and one-off commissions.

Inspired by the energy and spectacle of Las Vegas, “Project Viva” celebrates the shared spirit of innovation, ambition and performance that defines both McLaren and the city itself, according to McLaren officials. Designed and crafted by MSO, it stands as a creative showcase of the division’s ability to translate emotion and place into design through intricate, hand-painted craftsmanship.

Through the commission, the McLaren 750S becomes a testament to MSO’s full capabilities—demonstrating how McLaren’s bespoke division transforms a client’s creative inspiration into automotive artistry. Reimagining the glitz of Las Vegas through a monochrome lens, “Project Viva” takes a deliberately unexpected approach in a place defined by neon and color—expressing McLaren’s philosophy of challenging convention, the company noted in a press release.

“Project Viva captures what McLaren Special Operations is all about—pushing beyond convention to create something truly personal,” said Jonathan Simms, director of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). “It’s where craft meets character, and where any inspiration can become a story told through design. Every commission we create is a fusion of vision and skill, resulting in a car that authentically expresses the inspiration behind it. Whether born from brand storytelling or a client’s own passion, MSO exists to turn ideas into something unique and meaningful.”

A Story in Black & White

Rather than recreating the glow and spectacle through color, MSO translates Las Vegas’ rhythm, architecture and atmosphere through hand-painted monochrome linework. The “sketch in motion” livery captures the movement and character of the city—from iconic signage and skyline landmarks to its ties with music and performance. Each element contributes to a wider narrative that also weaves in McLaren’s racing and design heritage.

MSO’s bespoke paints featured on “Project Viva” include Muriwai White—seen on the shutters and doors within the Muriwai House motif—and Vegas Nights, a new MSO color developed exclusively for this commission. The deep black finish is infused with subtle flecks of cyan, magenta and green, designed to capture the neon glow of Las Vegas after dark.

Adding a personal touch, McLaren Formula 1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri contributed their own hand-applied details to the design, including the addition of the team’s 10th Constructors’ World Championship star on the rear bumper, celebrating its recent win, alongside signature lines and individual sketches highlighting McLaren Racing’s commitment to high performance both on and off the track.

The McLaren 750S “Project Viva” will be on display Nov. 12-20 at the McLaren Experience Centre within the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel, ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race.
