Luft Tokyo Draws 11,600 Visitors as Air|Water 2026 Prepares for Southern California

Following a successful debut in Japan, the Luftgekühlt production team prepares for its next U.S. event with Air|Water on April 25, 2026…

Luftgekühlt’s inaugural Asia-Pacific event, Luft Tokyo, brought together a global audience of Porsche enthusiasts for a one-day celebration in the heart of the city. Held on the historic KK Line Expressway, the event drew over 11,600 attendees and 220 vehicles. The setting, combined with strong turnout and international interest across automotive, arts and culture, underscored the growing demand for the Luftgekühlt experience beyond the United States, event officials stated in a press release.

“Bringing Luftgekühlt to Tokyo was an important moment for us, and the response exceeded expectation,” comments Patrick Long, founder of Luftgekühlt & Air|Water. “The level of enthusiasm and engagement we saw from the community reinforces how strong the connection is around Porsche globally, and it gives us a lot of momentum as we look ahead to what’s next.”

Luftgekühlt plans to continue expanding its event calendar in 2026 following the success of its Tokyo debut, with additional announcements expected in the coming months. As the brand evolves, Long says he will continue to shape experiences that celebrate Porsche across generations, bringing together enthusiasts through both Luftgekühlt and Air|Water.

Air|Water Driven by Mobil 1 Returns April 25 in Costa Mesa

While Luftgekühlt has become known for its focus on air-cooled heritage and the culture surrounding it, Air|Water expands that foundation with a whole new format, with more partner activations, a live Porsche Auction sale and an Exhibitor Hall trade show. The next event is April 25, 2026, in Costa Mesa, California, and is expected to draw a strong audience of collectors, enthusiasts and newcomers, reflecting growing interest in experiences that bring together a wide range of Porsche vehicles and communities in one setting, noted the release.

Now its fourth year, Air|Water Driven by Mobil 1 has become the largest Porsche gathering in Southern California. The expanded Exhibitor Hall will feature more than 50 Porsche-centric vendors spanning vintage and modern fashion, art, restoration and performance, including offerings from brands such as FCP Euro, AO Racing, and Leen Customs, alongside the official Air|Water event merchandise.

Broad Arrow Auctions will return with its single-marque Porsche sale, bringing stunning examples from race and street to the live auction stage, officials said. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with notable Porsche drivers, builders and artists. One of this year’s featured artists is Felix Holst, whose work blends graffiti-inspired style with contemporary automotive design as part of the Overcrest Road to Air|Water activation.

At the end of the main show, the Runway Reception Official After Party presented by Gunther Werks kicks off at the nearby Finish Line Auto Club to close out the Porsche-themed weekend.
