LEED Brakes Names New VP

LEED Brakes Names New VP | THE SHOPLEED Brakes has appointed Bill Cummings to the role of vice president, the company announced, citing the company’s recent growth as the need for the new position.

Cummings has been in the aftermarket brake industry since 1998 and started his career in the brake industry with Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation, the company said. There, he worked his way from the warehouse to operations manager in his 16-year tenure. In 2014, Cummings was hired as general manager of LEED Brakes to build structure, oversee daily operations, operating budgets and develop strategic growth plans, the company said. As vice president, Cummings will direct all operations and growth strategies within the company.

“In 2013 we were a company in trouble. Our sales had flatlined and profits were shrinking. If I was going to realize my dream of building a company that supplies the highest quality brake parts and service in the automotive aftermarket I was going to need to change,” said LEED Brakes owner, Tom Leed. “That change happened quickly when, in 2014, we hired a brilliant industry insider named Bill Cummings. From day one, Bill has managed every aspect of our meteoric success and growth. LEED Brakes would not be here today without the extraordinary talents of Bill Cummings. Therefore, it is with great gratitude that I bestow Bill with the well-earned title of Vice President. A title that is long overdue and richly deserved.”
