‘Laughlin Leap’ Returns to Best in the Desert Series After Six-Year Hiatus

The Best in the Desert off-road race series confirmed the Laughlin Leap event is back for the first time since 2011. The event will return during the Oct. 11-15 Method Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic by Polaris in Laughlin, Nevada.

The Laughlin Leap by Fabtech is set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 13. The event is open to cars, trucks and UTVs in all classes but limited to 32 entries on a first-come-first-serve basis. Brackets will be determined at registration through a random draw process.

The first two rounds of the competition will feature jump-offs. Once the top eight finalists are determined, the contestants will take one final jump, with the longest jump determining the winner.

“We are very proud to help bring this exciting event back,” said Dave Winner, CEO of Fabtech. “We are passionate enthusiasts and racers ourselves and since our company is dedicated to building the best suspension systems possible for off road enthusiasts, what could be a better fit. We look forward to seeing everyone in Laughlin.”

More than 210 race teams have signed up to compete in the Method Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic.
