Jeep Brand Returns to 10th Annual Female-Powered Rebelle Rally

Defending champions Nena Barlow & Teralin Petereit set their sights on a fourth overall title in five years…

The Rebelle Rally is the longest competitive off-road rally in the United States, covering more than 1,500 miles of rugged terrain across Nevada and California. The Jeep brand has announced that it will once again compete in this year’s event, supporting two teams, one of which is set to defend a title it has won three of the last four years.

“Celebrating 10 years of grit, toughness and tenacity—what an extraordinary milestone for Rebelle Rally founder Emily Miller and her incredible team,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand. “The Rebelle Rally is not only the ultimate proving ground for Jeep’s legendary durability and capability, but also a powerful showcase of the passionate Jeep 4×4 owners who compete. This competition pushes both the vehicles and their drivers to the limit, embodying the very spirit of the Jeep brand. We’re proud to be part of this remarkable journey.”

Jeep brand 4×4 vehicles have long been a staple in the Rebelle Rally, company officials stated in a press release. Both Jeep brand-supported teams will pilot stock Jeep Gladiator Mojave trucks in this year’s competition. Jeep says the Jeep Gladiator is unique in its class, boasting a combination of strength, speed and versatility that will prove to be beneficial during the strenuous eight-day competition. Jeep 4×4 vehicles have secured seven of nine overall wins and five of eight coveted Bone Stock awards during Rebelle’s 10-year span. More than a third of the competitors drive personal Jeep 4x4s, noted the release.

The Jeep brand will once again team up with Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit for the fifth consecutive year. Team Strictly Business (#129) will look to defend their overall and Bone Stock titles, which they have won three of the last four years. Barlow and Petereit are two of the most accomplished Rebelle Rally veterans, with Petereit making the podium every year she has competed. Barlow and Petereit have both competed eight times in the Rebelle Rally.

The Jeep brand is also welcoming team Fun•Duh•Mentals (#101) of Lyn Woodward, an accomplished automotive journalist, and Renée Vento, a seasoned real estate professional. While this is the first time competing as a team, this is Woodward’s sixth and Vento’s seventh Rebelle. Their team will be powered by Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil.
