How Fleets Comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111

Brooklyn, New York-based Rear View Safety wants to help fleet operators learn more about and become compliant with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111 law.

FMVSS 111 went into effect on May 1. Part of the new requirement regulates a necessary view behind a vehicle. The field of view extended area is a 10-foot by 20-foot space directly behind the vehicle. The rule applies to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of under 10,000 pounds.
