Wheel Pros LLC (d/b/a Hoonigan) has appointed Ryan Waldron as chief executive officer, effective Monday, April 20.

Following a comprehensive search, Waldron was selected for his extensive leadership experience and strong track record driving operational, commercial and organizational excellence, company officials stated in a press release. He brings more than 20 years of executive leadership at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, most recently serving as president, The Americas, where he led a 30,000-person organization responsible for $12 billion in revenue.

During his tenure, he played a key role in driving record profitability in North America and helped launch TireHub, a joint venture in tire distribution, noted the release. His prior appointments at Goodyear span senior leadership roles within supply chain, sales, operations, strategy, and leading several businesses, including consumer, aviation, off-the-road tires, Mickey Thompson, retail and chemical.

“Ryan is a proven leader with the experience and vision to guide Hoonigan into its next phase of growth,” said Dave Swift, interim CEO and chairman of the board. “His track record of building high-performing teams within this industry and delivering strong business results makes him the right choice to lead the company forward at this pivotal moment.”

Waldron holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from The Ohio State University. He will relocate from outside of Cleveland, Ohio, to join the Hoonigan team in their Denver office.

“Hoonigan sits at the intersection of car culture, content and commerce in a way that’s truly unique,” said Waldron. “I’m excited to join a passionate team and build on that foundation to drive growth and scale across the business.”

As part of this transition, Swift will step away as interim CEO and continue in the role of chairman of the board, the company said.
