Goodguys Events Cut Short, Cancelled
The Goodguys 10th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, was cut short last weekend amid concerns about spread of the COVID-19 virus, while the 11th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona and 38th All American Get-Together have been cancelled, the hot rod and custom group announced.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that the remaining two days of the Goodguys 10th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, have been cancelled,” the group said in a statement. “The decision is based on the mandate we received from the City of Fort Worth earlier this evening directly related to the rising health risk concerns associated with the COVID-19 virus.”
Additionally, the Goodguys 11th Spring Nationals, originally scheduled for March 20-22 at WestWorld of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the 38th All American Get-Together, scheduled for March 28-29 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California, were cancelled due to the same concerns.
“We truly appreciate and want to thank the thousands of automotive enthusiasts and business partners from all over the country who have traveled to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to attend, participate and support the show this weekend as well as those who have made plans to attend next weekend’s event in Scottsdale and the following weekend in Pleasanton,” the group added. “It goes without saying that all of us at Goodguys are disappointed, but the health and safety of all of our event attendees cannot be ignored.”
Customers or business partners who have already purchased tickets, registered a vehicle or purchased a vendor or swap meet space for any of our cancelled events will be contacted in the next 7-10 business days with the option of applying their payment to a future Goodguys event or receiving a full refund.
