Lewis Hamilton Will Be Featured on the Upcoming F1 25 Iconic Edition Game

Latest version of F1 series of games from EA Sports promises more realistic visuals & racing excitement…

Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that F1 25, an official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 30. The latest installment will continue the fan-favorite story mode, Braking Point, with the Konnersport team now battling for championships. Braking Point now comes with multiple difficulty settings catering to returning vets and rookies making their F1 debuts, according to the press release.

The release of F1 25 comes just before Apple Original Films’ “F1” worldwide launch in cinemas this June from Warner Bros. Pictures. EA Sports says those who pre-order the F1 25 Iconic Edition can experience post-launch gameplay chapters inspired by the film featuring the APXGP team. F1 25 Iconic Edition players will also receive additional content, including 2025 season liveries for use in F1 24 and up to three days early access.

On track, F1 25 continues to innovate through the power of its EGO engine. Enabling increased circuit authenticity made possible through LIDAR technology, several tracks and their surroundings are transformed with a more realistic look and feel, noted the press release. More details on the gameplay features and innovations will be revealed shortly through the F1 25 Deep Dive series.

“F1 25 delivers more ways for players to experience Formula 1 and race their way, from the drama of Braking Point to making headlines in the pursuit of World Championship glory,” said Lee Mather, senior creative director at Codemasters. “This year, there are new opportunities for players to connect, collaborate and compete than ever before. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”

Seventy-Five Years of Formula 1

As Formula 1 celebrates its 75th anniversary, players can compete alongside and against the biggest driver lineup change in several years, including Lewis Hamilton’s unprecedented move from Mercedes to Ferrari. The game will also feature new stars trying to make a name for themselves, established drivers challenging for podiums and veterans hoping for a World Championship on a new team.

Players who pre-order the digital-exclusive F1 25 Iconic Edition will receive additional perks linked to cover star Lewis Hamilton and the film “F1,” alongside a selection of instantly available 2025 season liveries for use in F124 Time Trial mode and much more. USA players who pre-order the Iconic Edition will also receive a one-month subscription to F1 TV PRO.

The F1 25 Standard Edition featuring cover drivers Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz and Oliver Bearman includes an F1 75 Celebration Pack, F1 World “Starter Pack” and 5,000 PitCoin for players who pre-order.
