Domestic Exhibitors Will Take Center Stage at HPX 2025

Growing multibillion-dollar US industry is focus of inaugural trade show…

The High Performance Expo (HPX) announced plans to promote and support America’s auto racing, performance and aftermarket industry by focusing on domestic companies, manufacturers and exhibitors at its inaugural event scheduled for early June 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

North Carolina has a long history of being at the forefront of racing innovation and excellence. From the Moonshine runners of the 1920s to today’s leading-edge racing teams and facilities, the state has been the hub for motorsports in the United States for over a century.

“North Carolina’s auto racing, performance and aftermarket industry plays a vital role in the state’s economy and in the lives of countless people of this region,” said Greg Walter, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway and charter member of the HPX Advisory Council. “HPX’s focus on domestic companies and manufacturers will help support and grow an important industry to so many people.”

A study by The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) estimates the racing industry alone has a $6.2 billion economic impact for the state. In addition, the NCMA estimates that North Carolina is the home to more than 1,000 teams, tracks, businesses and educational institutions related to motorsports with approximately 25,000 jobs tied to the industry.

“In alignment with the NCMA, our host organization, HPX is building a domestically focused show to support and grow the enormous economic impact generated by the motorsports, performance and aftermarket industry for the North Carolina and U.S. economy,” said Dana Teague, HPX general manager.

The inaugural HPX hosted by the NCMA, will be held from June 3-5, 2025, at the Charlotte Convention Center, followed by weekend activations at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, powered by MotorTrend (June 6-7). The event will bring together all segments of the automotive aftermarket industry for the first time in the heart of the auto racing community.

“This is the first new industry show in decades, so we’re going to showcase the products, talent and innovation exhibitors and buyers are telling us they want and need,” Teague added. “Thousands of people’s livelihoods are tied to this industry and it’s the right thing to do.”

HPX will continue to monitor this position by listening to its exhibitors and attendees, and adjust to meet their needs, as necessary.
