Detroit Speed Invites Visitors for Upcoming Open House
Detroit Speed Inc. is opening its shop doors on Oct. 19 in Mooresville, North Carolina, to car enthusiasts and the general public. The Detroit Speed Open House-featuring cars, food and music-will begin at the close of Friday’s Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s 25th Southeastern Nationals. The shop is planning to host more than 1,000 spectators and 300 hot rods, trucks and muscle cars.
Attendees will be invited to tour the Detroit Speed project shop, talk to the experts in the state-of-the-art suspension production facility, and take pictures with the company’s race cars.
The shop also will put on a concert during the open house, featuring country musicians James Otto and Jason Tucker. The music-sponsored by JRi Shocks and GearFX Driveline-will start at 7 p.m., according to Detroit Speed.
Those with an appetite at the event can order a BBQ dinner plate for $5 (as long as they’re early enough), with all proceeds set to be donated to the B.R.A.K.E.S. program.
