Dayco Awarded Ford Q1 Certification
Dayco, an engine products and drive systems manufacturer, has been awarded by Ford with “Q1 Certification” for demonstrating the ability to meet its stringent set of quality and performance requirements, the company announced. This award has been presented to Dayco’s San Luis Potosi (SLP), Mexico facility, for providing high-quality products to Ford and enabling them to produce premium quality vehicles across the globe, the company said.
The Q1 certification is Ford’s highest honor for its Tier 1 suppliers and awards the suppliers who demonstrate excellence beyond technical specification (ISO/TS certification) requirements in critical areas such as, capable systems, ongoing performance and Q1 manufacturing site assistance, the automaker said.
“This recognition with Ford Q1 is proof of the quality of Dayco’s products manufactured with best-in-class processes, which ensures their high performance. At Dayco, we seamlessly work towards achieving our customers’ requirements distinguished with innovative high-tech advancements, thus enabling them to deliver premium quality vehicles around the world,” said Michael Weiss, president global hybrid solutions at Dayco.
