One of the largest classic car shows on the West Coast returns to downtown Pismo Beach for its 40th year. The Classic at Pismo Beach runs May 29 through May 31, 2026, bringing hundreds of show vehicles, live music, beer gardens, a charity auction, and the iconic Saturday night cruise through downtown, event organizers stated in a press release.
What started in 1986 has grown into a signature Central Coast tradition, drawing tens of thousands of enthusiasts from across the United States, and from as far as Australia, alongside major sponsors including CarQuest Auto Parts, Mother’s Polish, Ford Motor Co., and Budweiser, noted the release. The Just Cruzin’ Life Foundation holds a live charity auction each year benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation, Ronald McDonald House and the Pismo Beach K-9 Unit.
Classic at Pismo Beach 2026 – Schedule, Awards & Charity Auction
- Show and Shine: Classic cars line the streets for peer judging on interior, engine compartment, undercarriage and overall detail.
- Gold Class Awards: The top 10 best-of-show vehicles receive the exclusive “Gold Class” designation.
- Official Classic Cruise: Saturday, May 30, 6–8 p.m. — approximately 200 cars roll through downtown. Cruise stickers required.
- Live Music: Bands perform throughout the weekend across multiple lots.
- Beer Gardens & Vendor Village: Open daily with food, drinks and car-related merchandise.
- Charity Auction: Saturday afternoon on the Sponsor Lot Stage.
