Cars & Bids announces the auction of an extremely limited 2014 McLaren P1 Supercar finished in MSO Fusion Green with a black interior. With a tremendously limited production run of just 375 units, the P1 is among the most elusive hypercars of the last decade.

Originally selling for an average of $2 million (depending on options chosen), the P1 Roadcar is by far the rarest among what has become known as “The Holy Trinity” of Hypercars, according to company officials.

“The Holy Trinity” refers to three hyper-performance road cars that were the first to integrate EV technology in order to enhance overall speed and horsepower. Released in 2013, the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder marked the inception of the term “hypercar,” with the P1 notably standing out as the rarest among them.

With this in mind, the latest auction from Cars & Bids presents enthusiasts and collectors with a unique chance to acquire a vehicle which stands as a significant focal point in automotive history, according to the company.

“It feels just as special as it did back when it was released. There will forever be a contingent of people who think this is the best member of the Holy Trinity, and frankly, I don’t entirely disagree, in part because I think this car drives better than any of the others,” said Doug Demuro, CEO and founder of Cars & Bids. “It has such an amazing sense of occasion to it. It just feels so exciting when you first look at it, when you drive it, the sound it makes and the way it feels is just fantastic.”

In 2013, the P1 was presented as the brand’s flagship hypercar, touting a hybrid twin-turbo V-8 powertrain with over 900 hp, and making use of cutting-edge technology for increased performance levels.

Armed with active aero, a hydropneumatic adaptive suspension and a bespoke carbon fiber tub, the P1 left its mark as a impressively capable hypercar and is considered by many the most exhilarating member of the Holy Trinity. This particular P1 is chassis number #069 with an odometer reading of approximately 4,700 miles.

Factory equipment includes 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged wheels, RaceActive Chassis Control (RCC) suspension, Akebono carbon ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics, rear wing with Drag Reduction System (DRS), leather upholstery, carbon fiber interior trim, carbon fiber bucket seats, a digital instrument cluster and a Meridian surround sound system.

Modifications reported by the selling dealer are limited to MSO’s Race Mode II and a full-body paint protection film. Power comes from a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid drivetrain, which consists of a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery pack. The system is rated at a combined 903 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
