Bring a Trailer (BaT) is celebrating its 250,000th auction with a Ferrari 288 GTO, as the auction company nears its 20th anniversary and rolls into its 12th year of auctions. The milestone listing is powered by the continued engagement from BaT’s 1.7 million registered users and its committed seller base, company officials stated in a press release. The Ferrari 288 GTO, offered by local partner 1600Veloce, is one of the first 200 cars built to meet homologation requirements and boasts a Ferrari Classiche Certification.

For over a decade, Bring a Trailer has grown its offerings from project cars to collector cars, hypercars, automobilia, boats, military vehicles, airplanes, pedal cars and its first-ever yacht. Since the site celebrated its 100,000th auction in February of 2023, its growing community has seen more than 150,000 additional listings over the past three years. The continued growth in the number of listings reflects the strong demand for enthusiast vehicles in the online auction market, noted the release.

“What started as a passion project, highlighting interesting cars for sale all over the world, has grown into a cornerstone of online car culture. We’ve seen the site cross over 1,200 auctions listed each week during peak times,” said Randy Nonnenberg, CEO and founder of Bring a Trailer. “The 288 GTO represents an exciting evolution in Ferrari’s history and reflects a similar moment for BaT, helping the site gearheads love to grow with even more momentum.”

BaT’s Growing Community & Collector Car Market

The Bring a Trailer community is a wide network of enthusiasts who ask pertinent questions about vehicle condition and common issues, which helps ensure sales are transparent and brings even casual enthusiasts into the club, the company said. The Ferrari 288 GTO is expected to receive the same treatment, inviting conversations that highlight its design, ownership history, records, and legacy as a sought-after piece for collectors.

Bring a Trailer says other outstanding auctions in 2026 included a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, which sold in late May for $4.4 million; a Viper V10-powered Jeep Cherokee; Ken Block’s Ford Escort MK2; and the final Bill Thomas Cheetah.
