The Blue Collar Virtual Trade School, Lincoln Tech Launch Partnership

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, tens of thousands of job openings are projected each year across skilled-trades fields, including approximately 81,000 for electricians; 66,200 for automotive service technicians and mechanics; 45,600 for welders, cutters, solderers and brazers; and 40,600 for HVAC technicians.
That workforce need is at the center of a new partnership between The Blue Collar Virtual Trade School (VTS) and Lincoln Tech, a leading provider of career-focused technical education, school officials said in a press release. Through the partnership, The Blue Collar Virtual Trade School will help connect individuals and employers with Lincoln Tech training programs in Electrical and Electronics Systems Technology, HVAC, Automotive, and Welding.
The collaboration is designed to strengthen the pathway between education and employment, helping more people discover skilled-trades careers, access technical training and connect with opportunities in the workforce.
“Employers need skilled people, and workers need clear pathways to careers where their skills are valued,” said Troy Latuff, founder and CEO of The Blue Collar Recruiter & Virtual Trade School.
Lincoln Tech has a long history of providing hands-on, career-focused education. The collaboration brings together Lincoln Tech’s technical education with The Blue Collar Virtual Trade School’s online training and workforce development resources, creating more ways for individuals to build skills and prepare for skilled-trades careers, noted the release.
Building Pathways Into High-Demand Careers
The partnership encompasses training opportunities across four skilled-trades areas:
- Automotive – Skills for automotive service, diagnostics and repair.
- Welding – Training in welding processes used across construction, manufacturing and other industries.
- Electrical and Electronics Systems Technology – Skills for careers involving electrical and electronic systems.
- HVAC – Training for opportunities in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
Together, the organizations aim to increase awareness of skilled-trades career paths and help more individuals access career-focused education.

The Blue Collar Virtual Trade School also helps students take the next step toward employment through the Blue Collar Recruits job board platform.
