BlackRidge Acquires A1 Distributing
BlackRidge, a Utah-based company, has acquired A1 Distributing, a Salt Lake City-based wholesale distributor of truck and auto parts, the company announced.
BlackRidge is a newly formed development company that specializes in wholesale and parts distribution, fleet parts sales, fleet upfitting and addition platforms for truck and fleet companies.
Founded in 1988, A1 provides BlackRidge with a steady entry into wholesale distribution and an established portfolio of customers and vendors, the company said, and will enable BlackRidge to add additional product lines, offer a deeper inventory of existing products and expand the territory with cross docks in Idaho, Nevada, and other four corners marketplace locations.
“We are pleased to add A1 to our newly developed program for our full truck center platform,” said David Wells, BlackRidge executive manager. “While A1 has served the greater Salt Lake area for several decades, we feel we can bring capital, expertise and new product offerings that will expand the market and sales for this already well-established company. It fits well for our overall truck fleet platforms currently in development.”
BlackRidge and A1 will operate out of a newly remodeled 300,000 square-foot facility in West Valley City that will allow for an expanded inventory and increased deliveries in Salt Lake City and the surrounding region, the company said.
