The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer returns to the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race this weekend to host multiple living paintings and auctions. The endurance racing event features top drivers competing in the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The signature race, Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, will kick off on Saturday, March 15, at 10:10 a.m., featuring 12 straight hours of racing around Sebring International Raceway.
In a special collaboration with world-renowned motion sports artist Bill Patterson, the Foundation will auction off several live paintings, each created in real-time in various fan-favorite areas, including the Corvette, Cadillac, Celebrity Cruise, Ford, and Porsche corrals; a unique tradition which allows fans to witness Patterson’s creative process while supporting a crucial cause.
As an official “Proud Charity of IMSA,” the Foundation raises funds and awareness at motorsports events throughout the season, sending representatives to IMSA races and partnering with racing teams to spread its mission of empowering childhood cancer families to thrive—during and after cancer.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation uses hands-on therapeutic programs like Automotive Therapy to support emotional recovery for families and teach practical skills, using the excitement and engagement of motorsports to foster lifelong healing. The Foundation says this holistic approach, which blends therapeutic care with vocational skill development, sets it apart from any other, ensuring a deeper, more lasting impact on the well-being of children affected by cancer.
