Amalie Oil Stamps Western Footprint Through Acquisition

Lubricating Specialties Co. (LSC) signed a letter of intent on March 11 to sell its U.S. operations to Amalie Oil Co., an independent lubricant manufacturer.

LSC has three production facilities in the Los Angeles area, while Amalie operates in Tampa, Florida and Charleston, South Carolina. The combined business will sell to and service lubricant product customers “from what will be the strongest and most efficient platform in the industry,” according to Amalie.

“Both companies have a rich history and strong culture of quality and service,” said Sydney Thwaites, CEO of LSC. “We are excited about the synergies that combining the companies brings to enhance our ability to serve our customers at the highest level.”
