Allen Performance Resources Hires Randall Speir as COO
Allen Performance Resources, the parent company of PSC Motorsports in Azle, Texas, has hired Randall Speir to be its chief operating officer (COO), the company announced. Speir will be responsible for designing and implementing strategy, leading transformation, directing operations and overseeing the expansion of the Allen enterprises and brands.
“It is an honor that the Allen family has entrusted me with the transformation of their business,” said Speir. “I am excited to enhance the legacy that founder Tom Allen has established throughout the automotive industry. I look forward to continuing to work with the many great people I have built relationships with over the years for an enterprise that is eager to create new opportunities.”
Speir’s experience started in his dad’s automotive shops when he was growing up in Texas. Prior to his successful career in motorsports, he worked over a decade in the marketing and advertising industry with eight years as a creative director. Professionally, he began as a mechanical engineer (BSME ’02 from The University of Texas at Austin) in the heavy-duty truck industry, then progressed into team engineering roles supporting various racing outfits in NASCAR, FIA GT, USAC, NHRA, IMSA, vintage and off-road (SCORE, CORR, WSORR), amongst others and helped several teams win championships. He then successfully expanded into business operations, marketing and sales at Mr. Gasket and then at Dana Incorporated, the company said, where he successfully built and ran the performance aftermarket program. He has also been a member of the SEMA Truck and Off-Road Alliance (TORA) Committee.
“Over the last seven years, I had the good fortune of watching and working with Randall as he developed a successful performance aftermarket program—from directing the sales, marketing, product development and manufacturing teams, to working hands-on with customers, he always had the vision and leadership to make great things happen. His breadth of knowledge coupled with his life-long passion for the automotive industry, makes Randall the perfect person to ‘steer’ the evolution of our business,” commented Tom Allen, Owner/Founder of Allen Performance Resources.
PSC Motorsports manufactures and distributes performance power steering for all types of applications, including off-road, overland, circle track, street rods, muscle cars, agricultural and industrial.
