Akebono Brake Corp. Promotes Cota to Aftermarket National Sales Manager

Akebono Brake Corp. has promoted Borise Cota to national sales manager for the company’s North American aftermarket operations. Cota for the past 18 years has represented the company in the Western U.S. and Canada.

“Borise’s aftermarket experience, technological knowledge, history with the company and exemplary relationships with Akebono’s customers make him a natural fit for the national sales position,” said Wilm Uhlenbecker, president and CEO for Akebono Brake Corp. “We congratulate his past achievements and look for even greater accomplishments in his new role.”

Cota was part of the original sales team when Akebono launched its U.S. Aftermarket division in 2000. He will continue to be based in San Diego and report to Russ Stebbins, director of aftermarket business.
