Air Lift Company Completes Acquisition of Universal Air Suspension

Air Lift Company—a manufacturer of air suspension systems for towing, hauling and performance applications—announced it has completed the acquisition of Universal Air Suspension (UAS), effective Aug. 3, 2026. The transaction brings together two established leaders in air suspension technology and marks a significant step in Air Lift’s strategy to expand innovation and product development capabilities across both its traditional load support and performance product lines, company officials stated in a press release.
“There are many synergies between Universal Air and Air Lift across our traditional load support line and our performance lines,” said Krista DeJonge, CFO at Air Lift Company. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we begin the integration of UAS into the Air Lift family.”
Leadership Transition
As part of the acquisition, Zack Ratcliff, president of Universal Air Suspension, will join the Air Lift team as managing director of Engineered Solutions. In his new role, Ratcliff will focus his time and talent on building out an Engineered Solutions Division for Air Lift, noted the release. He will serve as the strategic and technical leader for custom design, engineering excellence and innovation across UAS, Air Lift Performance, and Air Lift Suspension.
In this role, Ratcliff will be instrumental in aligning engineering capabilities, accelerating product development, and driving initiatives that strengthen the company’s competitive advantage and create long-term enterprise value. He will be a key team member supporting both Air Lift strategic objectives and its long-term success, the company said.

About the Integration
Air Lift will begin integrating UAS’s products, people and operations immediately. Additional details on combined product offerings, dealer support and organizational structure are expected to be shared as the integration progresses.
