Acura Developing All-Electric ZDX Type S Performance Model

Acura is currently developing a Type S performance model for its new 2024 ZDX, the brand’s first all-electric model, the automaker announced.

Currently under development, the 2024 ZDX Type S performance variant is being tested and tuned to optimize the SUV’s dynamics and overall driving experience, the brand said.

The ZDX is being co-developed with GM utilizing the Ultium EV platform. Acura then will launch additional EV models starting in 2026 based on the company’s own global e:Architecture.

Designed at the Acura Design Studio in Southern California, the ZDX will feature many of the styling themes that debuted on the Acura Precision EV Concept during Monterey Car Week. Acura’s first zero emission production model, the 2024 ZDX and ZDX Type S will be officially unveiled in 2023.
