The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF), a 501c3 supporting people in the automotive aftermarket industry and their families during the hardest moments of their lives, has announced that the recipient of the inaugural AACF Humanitarian Award, sponsored by NEXUS North America, has been selected.
This prestigious honor will be officially presented on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, during the final keynote at Connect 2025, hosted by the Auto Care Association.
The AACF Humanitarian Award was established to recognize individuals, companies, associations or groups within the automotive aftermarket industry who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to humanitarian efforts, according to officials in a press release. Nominees exemplify compassion, selflessness and a strong sense of social responsibility, making a meaningful impact on their communities—locally, nationally or globally.
The AACF and Nexus North America sent out a heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and to the inspiring nominees who were considered for this award. The companies said the response from the industry was overwhelming, with stories of incredible generosity, resilience and commitment to helping others.
“We received an extraordinary number of nominations, each one telling a powerful story of industry members who have gone above and beyond to support their communities,” said Jon Owens, president of the AACF board of trustees. “Our selection committee was deeply moved by the compassion and dedication shown by so many, making this an incredibly difficult choice. The impact these individuals and organizations have had is truly inspiring, and we are honored to recognize one of them at Connect 2025.”
AACF also extended a special thank you to the Auto Care Association for providing a platform at Connect 2025 to present the award. Their support allows the AACF to shine a spotlight on those making a difference in the automotive aftermarket industry, noted the press release.
