The Thermal Club was recently honored with the 2017 Motorsport Facility of the Year award in a special presentation by members of international motorsport community at the Professional Motorsport World Expo in Cologne, Germany. The Thermal Club—located just south of Indio, California—was selected by a judging panel comprised of motorsport journalists, motorsport publication editors, race track architects and professional racers. Additional circuits competing in the category included SpeedPark Ningbo (China), Martinsville (Virginia), Marina Bay GP Circuit (Singapore) and Circuito Internacional de Vila Real (Portugal).

The Thermal Club gives motorsport enthusiasts access to the best facilities, including their own custom designed luxurious Villas, exceptional dining and activities for all members of the family. The club also offers an on-site tuning shop, private garages, a Clubhouse, and will soon have an athletic center, spa and kids club, according to The Thermal Club. The venue is also home to the only BMW Performance Center on the West Coast of the U.S.

“We’re truly honored to have been selected for this coveted international award,” said Thermal Club Owner Tim Rogers. “Our competitors in this category represent the finest motorsports venues around the world. To have been chosen from this group of acclaimed circuits is a thrill for all of us.”

The award—announced at the PMW Expo Awards Dinner—was accepted by acclaimed designer Alan Wilson, who created the club’s four distinctive racing circuits.
