Recent Vehicle Recalls
2023-2024 Ford Bronco Sport/Maverick/Mustang Mach-E
Vehicles Affected: Ford is recalling 37,300 vehicles, including the 2023 Bronco Sport and Mustang Mach-E, as well as 2023-2024 Mavericks.
The Problem: The front windshield wiper motor may become inoperable, thereby causing the wipers to fail.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper motor as necessary, for free. Ford will notify owners on August 26th.

2023-2024 Cadillac Lyriq
Vehicles Affected: Parent company GM is recalling 21,500 vehicles, including 2023-2024 Cadillac Lyriq SUVs equipped with all-wheel drive.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the ABS may activate unexpectedly and release brake pressure in the all-electric SUV’s service brake system. A loss of brake pressure can cause a loss of braking ability, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Cadillac or a dealer will provide a free over-the-air update for the electronic brake control module software. The brand will notify owners on September 23rd.

2019-2021 BMW X5/X7/3, 7 and 8 Series
Vehicles Affected: In July, BMW recalled more than 291,000 X3 SUVs due to an issue with cargo rails. Shortly thereafter, the automaker pursued a follow-up recall for nearly 400,000 3 Series vehicles in relation to the Takata airbag crisis. Now, BMW is recalling more than 105,000 vehicles, including model-year 2019-2020 X5 and X7 SUVs; 2020 3 Series sedans and 8 Series convertibles, coupes and Gran Coupes; and 2020-2021 7 Series sedans.
The Problem: The engine starter may experience mechanical damage, preventing the vehicle from starting. Repeated attempts to start the engine may cause an electrical overload of the starter, thereby resulting in overheating and increased risk of a fire.
The Fix: Dealers will update the software as necessary, for free. BMW will notify owners on September 23rd.

Tesla Recalls 1.8 Million Vehicles
Vehicles Affected: Tesla is recalling more than 1.8 million vehicles, including model-year 2020-2024 Model Y SUVs, as well as 2021-2024 Model 3 and Model S sedans and Model X SUVs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the latch assembly may not detect that the hood is open, thus preventing a driver notification when the vehicle is placed into Drive.
The Fix: Tesla released an over-the-air software update and will notify owners on September 22nd.
