American Expedition Vehicles Previews Ram Prospector XL Tray Bed Truck
American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has introduced an all-new two-door Prospector XL Limited Tray Bed Edition, which will be limited to only 10 units, the company announced.
AEV recently previewed the first red and black Prospector XL in Moab, Utah. The limited-edition Prospector XL Tray Bed comes equipped with AEV’s HD front bumper, front bumper low tube, diesel intercooler shroud kit, and non-winch cover plate. Other overland-ready parts and equipment include HighMark front fender flares, a hydraulic-assist steering upgrade, 3-inch dualsport RT suspension system, ProCal module, 17-by-10 Katla wheels, tire pressure monitoring system sensors, AEV Ram HD rear bumper, and speedometer recalibration, are also available as part of the Tray Bed custom build out package.
The Prospector XL Tray Bed can be ordered in either RAM 2500 or 3500 configurations and will include the black high walled lightweight aluminum utility tray bed, which improves stability by lowering the truck’s overall center of gravity while also cutting weight. The reduced heft allowed AEV to feature a 3-inch suspension lift and off-road ready tires, the company said.
AEV also integrated a 16,500 lbs. winch system engineered into the front bumper alongside other options such as rear LED lighting, retractable side steps, an optional brush guard, integrated air compressor, and spare tire mount inside the tray bed among other available features.
