2023-24 Jeep Grand Cherokee & Grand Cherokee L SUVs
Vehicles Affected: Parent company Stellantis is recalling approximately 121,400 model-year 2023-24 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L SUVs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the second-row head restraints may not lock in the upright position. A head restraint that is not locked upright increases the risk of injury in certain types of crashes.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the second-row head restraints as necessary and for free. Stellantis will notify owners on September 5.

Ford Is Recalling More Than 694,000 Bronco Sport & Escape SUVs
Vehicles Affected: Ford is recalling another 694,200 model-year 2021-24 Bronco Sport and 2020-22 Escape SUVs equipped with 1.5-liter three-cylinder engines.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the fuel injector may crack and leak fuel inside the engine, thereby increasing the risk of a fire.
The Fix: A proper remedy is currently under development. As an interim repair, however, dealers will update the engine control software as necessary and for free. Ford will notify owners on August 18. Another notification will be sent once a remedy is determined.

Ford & Lincoln Recall 850,000 Vehicles
Vehicles Affected: Ford and Lincoln are recalling more than 850,000 vehicles, including 2021-22 F-150 SUVs and Mustang cars; 2021-23 Bronco and Explorer SUVs, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 trucks; 2022 Expedition SUVs; 2021-22 Navigator SUVs; and 2021-23 Aviator SUVs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the low-pressure fuel pump may fail, which can result in the engine stalling while driving.
The Fix: A proper remedy is currently under development. Initial owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 14.

Ford & Lincoln Recall 200,000 Vehicles
Vehicles Affected: Ford and Lincoln are recalling more than 200,000 vehicles, including 2018-20 Transit Connect vans; 2019-20 Edge SUVs, Fusion sedans and F-150 pickup trucks; 2019-23 Mustang cars and Ranger pickups; 2020-21 EcoSport and Expedition SUVs; 2020-22 Escape SUVs and Super Duty F-250 pickups; 2020-23 Transit vans; 2020-24 Explorer SUVs; 2021-24 Bronco Sport SUVs; 2022-24 Maverick pickups; 2019-20 MKZ and Continental sedans and Nautilus SUVs; 2020-21 Navigator SUVs; 2020-22 Corsair SUVs; and 2020-23 Aviator SUVs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, a software issue may cause the backup camera to show a blank image, or the image may remain on the screen after the driver is done backing up. Either can reduce the driver’s visibility while backing up or distract during driving.
The Fix: To resolve the issue, dealers will update the backup camera software as necessary and for free. Owners will be notified on July 28.

Nissan is Recalling More Than 443,000 Vehicles
Vehicles Affected: Nissan is recalling more than 443,800 vehicles equipped with 1.5-liter three-cylinder or variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines (Infiniti is Nissan’s luxury arm). Affected models include 2019-20 Altima sedans and 2021-24 Rogue SUVs, as well as 2019-22 Infiniti QX50 SUVs and 2022 QX55 SUVs.
The Problem: According to the automaker, the engine bearings may have defects that can lead to engine failure, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the engine oil pan for metal debris and repair or replace the engine as necessary and for free. For vehicles with the 1.5-liter three-cylinder, if no debris is found during the inspection, dealers will replace the oil pan gasket and engine oil and reprogram the engine control module. Those vehicles with the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder, if no debris is detected, dealers will replace the engine oil. Owners will be notified on August 25.
