Lucas Oil Enters the Hybrid-Specific Lubrication Products Market

Soon-to-be-released hybrid oil amplifier & hybrid fuel amplifier designed for modern hybrid & hybrid-electric engines…

Engine oil and lubricant products company Lucas Oil Products is using the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 over Memorial Day weekend as the right time to announce its entry into the hybrid-specific lubrication products market. This year marks a historic shift with the debut of hybrid power in the NTT INDYCAR Series.

Indianapolis-based Lucas Oil Products will soon launch its first hybrid fuel amplifier and hybrid oil amplifier—both engineered specifically to meet the evolving needs of today’s hybrid engines. Last year, hybrid vehicles accounted for 10% of all light-duty vehicle sales in the United States, marking a record high, according to the company.

“We see the move to hybrid technology at the Indy 500 as symbolic of the ongoing innovation in the automotive space—more diverse vehicles, powertrains and technologies,” said Morgan Lucas, CEO of Lucas Oil. “As the best-selling additive company in America, we are committed to delivering quality solutions that meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s drivers. Our new hybrid-specific product line is the latest example of how our U.S.-based manufacturing and sophisticated R&D are adapting to the demands of modern vehicles, whether it’s hybrid, high-mileage, clean diesel and everything in between.”

While the company will not directly supply products for the Indianapolis 500, Lucas Oil’s decades-long presence across professional motorsports—including its 20-year partnership with the Arrow McLaren INDYCAR Team—continues to inform its broader innovation strategies and consumer product development, according to officials.

“It’s awesome to see INDYCAR take a step forward with the first hybrid Indy 500,” said Tony Kanaan, team principal at Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team. “Every team will be challenged in a new way this year, and we’ll see who makes the most of it come race day. Lucas Oil works like we do—staying ahead of the curve and constantly pushing for high performance.”

The new Lucas Oil hybrid oil and fuel amplifiers will be available at retailers nationwide later this summer.
